Merger Duo supports several monitoring modes. Thermal mode is used to detect and monitor animals in all weather conditions, while digital supports enhanced target identification capabilities with Full-HD resolution. The Picture-in-Picture function allows the simultaneous display of images from both optical channels, giving priority to the thermal or digital image.

Highly sensitive thermal sensor

The highly sensitive thermal sensor with a resolution of 640×480 pixels @ 17 µm and NETD <25mK ensures amazing thermal image quality and perfect detail recognition even in the most difficult atmospheric conditions when thermal contrast is low. The smallest temperature differences will be clearly visible during rain, fog or cold mornings, the most difficult conditions for any thermal device.

Digital Full-HD low-light night vision

The image generated by the digital night channel of the Merger Duo NXP50 offers HD-resolution and high-quality detail processing. The silhouettes, the anatomical differences, the behavioral features – the HD-resolution display shows the qualities of the animal that give the hunter the information needed to make the right shot decision.

IR illuminator

The Merger Duo NXP50 is equipped with an IR illuminator with invisible light (940 nm) with adjustable light point direction. It increases the detail of the image in the digital channel in total darkness.

User mode

Use the brightness and contrast settings to increase the detail and informative value of the image under certain viewing conditions. The User mode function saves the selected brightness and contrast settings in the device's memory, ensuring optimal image quality for the next use of the thermal instrument immediately and without additional settings.

Merger Duo Multispectral Binoculars present complex scenes with a wide range of halftones of uniformly emitting, low-contrast objects such as sky, grass and water surfaces. Software detailing and sharpening of objects at different distances makes the thermal image extremely informative. Manually increasing the sensitivity of the thermal sensor improves the quality of animal detection in poor monitoring conditions. The use of a smoothing filter and a wide range of brightness and contrast settings make prolonged viewing comfortable.

The characteristics of the thermal optics have a decisive influence on the binocular's ability to capture even the faintest levels of radiation. The high detection efficiency is achieved with the fast lens of the Merger Duo (F50/1.0) in combination with the highly sensitive thermal sensor. Merger Duo provides users with the best quality, detailed and high-contrast informative images at all times, even during rain or fog, when the temperature contrast of the observed scene is minimal.

IR illumination in the invisible spectrum to enhance detail in the digital channel

The Merger Duo NXP50 is equipped with a removable IR illuminator with a wavelength of 940nm, which increases the detail in digital channels at night, emitting in the "invisible" spectrum. Three-stage adjustable power allows the user to select the preferred viewing distance and illumination levels of the objects being observed. Thanks to high-quality optics with a long focal length and a high-sensitivity sensor, the Merger Duo has exceptional monitoring capabilities - an object with a height of 1.8 meters can be detected at a distance of 1800 meters in total darkness.

Convenient monitoring

The optical design of Merger binoculars fully takes into account the nature of human vision. It is natural for a person to receive visual information through two visual channels simultaneously. Seeing with two eyes is less tiring than seeing with one. This means better detection of small or dimly lit objects and better performance in low-contrast scenarios compared to similar monocular thermal imaging devices of the same technical level. The interocular distance of the Merger binoculars is adjustable from 62 to 74 mm to suit the individual characteristics of each user.

Comfortable classic binocular design

The Merger Duo multispectral binoculars are built with the classic design of daytime binoculars. With a compact size, they fit comfortably in the hand, offering an attractive design and ergonomics. The six function buttons are located in the area for convenient access, with the most used functions of the digital device activated with one touch.

Video and photo recording

The Merger Duo is equipped with a built-in video recorder. The internal memory can store hours of video and tens of thousands of photos. One touch of the button is enough to take a photo of an interesting scene or start recording a video.

Dual battery system

The Merger Duo is powered by two rechargeable batteries: one built-in with a capacity of 4Ah and the other replaceable with a capacity of 3.2Ah. One charge guarantees up to 7 hours of battery life. The relief of the body of the replaceable battery makes it possible to determine its correct position and quickly and safely replace an exhausted battery with a new one in the dark with just a touch.

Proximity sensor

Observing in the dark requires cover so that the animals are not alerted to your presence. To prevent light leakage from the eyepieces, the device enters standby mode using the "Display Off" function. To facilitate this task, the Merger Duo is equipped with a built-in proximity sensor. It works by turning off the display and preventing light leakage in the dark. When the device moves away from the eyes, the sensor turns off both displays, and when the device approaches, both displays turn on, offering excellent image quality.

Ergonomic and functional carrying case

The hunter must move quickly. Quality equipment is always at hand when needed and out of sight the rest of the time. Stylish on the outside, the case of the Merger Duo is functional and comfortable to carry. The device is quickly and easily removed from the case for use. The system of optimal positioning of the belt distributes the weight of the device on the hunter's body, relieving the load on the shoulders, back and neck. The holster fits tightly to the body without preventing the hunter from bending, turning, moving on the field or using a weapon. In addition, the holster is equipped with straps for attaching to a waist belt as well as equipment with a modular Molle attachment system, including backpacks and straps with multiple hooks.

Stream Vision 2. Wi-Fi integration with iOS and Android

The built-in Wi-Fi connection connects the Merger Duo to Android and iOS smartphones via the Stream Vision 2 mobile application. This opens up a wide range of possibilities, including wireless device software updates, real-time image transfer from the device to the smartphone screen, publishing to social networking of photos and videos taken with it or messaging apps, remote control of digital device functions and access to the latest news from Pulsar. In addition, registered users get 16 GB of cloud storage for photos and videos recorded with the device.

Support for two Wi-Fi frequency bands – 2.4 / 5 GHZ

In the Merger Duo thermo devices, the standard frequency range of the connected smartphones via the 2.4GHz Wi-Fi channel is supplemented with the effective 5 GHz range. The 5 GHz connection offers faster data transfer speed, protection against interference and improved connection stability, resulting in more productive and easier control of the thermal binoculars with a smartphone.
